Author Guidelines

General structure: we recommend the use of the IMRyD/IMRAD model, following the logical organizational structure: introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, final considerations/conclusions.

Technical Standards / References: to standardize more effectively the production published in the scientific journal, manuscripts should strictly follow the standards of the American Psychological Association (APA), with flexibility for the 6th or 7th edition (although it is highly recommended to use the most recent one).

Editor's Decision:

  • Acceptance: When both reviewers concur in their assessment. Typically, this is either unconditional or conditional upon minor revisions.
  • Resubmission with Corrections: In cases of reviewer discrepancies, authors are advised to submit a revised version.
  • Rejection: When both reviewers recommend rejection.
Third Reviewer: In cases of reviewer discrepancies, the responsible Editor may opt for a third review. Exceptional cases may be decided by the Editor without consulting a third reviewer.

On average, authors can expect to receive a first decision from the Editor within 4 to 8 weeks. However, this timeframe may vary depending on the journal's workflow.

Authors, reviewers, and responsible editors will be informed of decisions and stages throughout the process via the journal's platform.
