Abstract

Information literacy education is essential for all college students. In order to identify the relationship between access to information literacy tools and artificial intelligence tools, comparing the number of LibGuides that discuss each topic indicates the focus that each library may have in educating users. Furthermore, this comparison of the number of LibGuides dedicated to each topic provides insight into a library's instructional priorities. Information literacy and artificial intelligence education in community colleges is not only a curricular issue, but a larger, socioeconomic one as well. Although both artificial intelligence and information literacy require specific skill sets, artificial intelligence education cannot be prioritized over information literacy education.
